Marcus Rashford made waves ahead of the January transfer window by expressing his readiness for a “new challenge.” Interest from across Europe has since intensified in the forward, who has fallen out of favor in Manchester United‘s starting lineup under head coach Ruben Amorim.
Borussia Dortmund are exploring the possibility of signing a forward this month as they brace for the potential departure of Donyell Malen, who is reportedly a target for Aston Villa.
Juventus, on the other hand, are actively seeking a new strike partner for Dusan Vlahovic.
Marcus Rashford has emerged as one of the candidates under consideration by both clubs after expressing his desire for a new challenge last month.
There is a general understanding that January is a challenging window for completing major transfers, and as such, a straightforward loan move for Rashford remains a possibility.
AC Milan are still interested in Marcus Rashford and are having internal discussions about potentially making a move for him. They may approach Manchester United later this week to explore the possibility further.
However, Milan would only be able to pursue a loan deal and would require United to cover a significant portion of Rashford’s wages, with his salary being a major hurdle to finalizing any loan arrangement.
Manchester United have yet to receive an official offer for Marcus Rashford, and head coach Ruben Amorim has emphasized that it is up to the player to work his way back into the first-team fold.
All options appear to be on the table. Ideally, United would like to see Rashford regain his form and contribute effectively to the team, which would likely boost his value if the club decides to sell him in the summer.
Alternatively, while a loan deal, with United covering part of his wages, is not the preferred option, the club can point to the positive impact a similar arrangement had on Jadon Sancho’s value last season.
Joshua Zirkzee has no intention of leaving Manchester United.
The forward, who is committed to proving himself in the Premier League, is highly content at the club.
Despite receiving multiple approaches for a move, including interest from Juventus, Napoli, Inter, Milan, and several Premier League clubs, Zirkzee’s camp has made it clear that he is not available for transfer.
Juventus are keen on a loan deal for Joshua Zirkzee, with the player having previously worked under their manager, Thiago Motta, at his last club.
However, it is unlikely that Manchester United would entertain such an offer. Zirkzee has been included in every matchday squad under head coach Ruben Amorim, who has expressed his intention to keep the forward at the club.
“I want to keep Josh because he gives everything,” Amorim said. “He’s trying in training but we don’t know, the window is open. We will see what happens.”
Bruno Fernandes, meanwhile, expressed that the United players continue to support Zirkzee, despite the 23-year-old facing a challenging period. Zirkzee was jeered off by some fans in the first half of the match against Newcastle last month, but Fernandes emphasized that the team believes in him and his abilities.
“I was in the stands [against Newcastle] and have never seen something like this and it really frustrates me and annoys me because he is a player that always gives his all,” said Fernandes.
“As a player that is coming into the team from a different league he needs time to adapt but he has huge qualities.
“He hasn’t shown all the quality but it can’t be that from the first game of the season everyone was hyping him as one of the best strikers and now everyone doesn’t believe in him anymore.
“We do believe in him inside the dressing room. I would rather be myself in this position against Newcastle and not seeing one of my team-mates in that position.”
